The real deadpool

The tragic truth? The majority of procrastinators, who end up with massive regrets on their death bed, don't procrastinate by sitting on their sofa and playing video games. They procrastinate by staying "busy," filling their minds with one diversion to the next, and by remaining unwilling to make themselves uncomfortable.

Yes, there is plenty to be said for employing systems instead of will-power.

And for changing your environment to help change your mindstate.

And even for using implementation intentions as a handy tactic to jumpstart your habit.

But (and this is a big but).

You can study swimming techniques and best practices for days, weeks, months, years. After all that time, will you be ready and able to swim? You'd be no better than the child who dumbly jumped in and worked it out from inside through guts and guile. You won't have a chance to begin until you toss yourself into that pool with both feet.

Put yourself in fortune's way. Find out what's inside.
