Reports & Booklets
The same way any basketball player worth their salt needs to be able to dribble, pass, shoot and defend, anyone who calls themselves a "writer" needs to be just as adept at longform writing as they are classic shortform (print ads, emails, billboards, etc.).
I love longform writing, and have gratefully had the opportunity to work on both technical and narrative-based reports and booklets at previous roles.
Financial Annual Reports, 2015 - 2020
I wrote the financial institution's Annual Reports each year between 2015 and 2020.
Each year, I partnered with CEO, CFO, CMO, Chief Lending Officer, Marketing Manager, Senior Graphic Designer and members of the Accounting team to build and ship final creative.
I led project management, vendor management, creative direction, writing, development, production and delivery of all reports.
I loved having that personal collaboration with the leaders of the org. Iterated each year to improve graphics and layout.
Community Impact Report: Shining a Light on Our Philanthropy
I partnered with Community Development Manager, Marketing Manager, Senior Graphic Designer, and CMO to write a new report highlighting the work we were doing to improve conditions for the underserved and vulnerable in our communities.
The report highlighted was a broad survey of our mission-based work, including the volunteer hours our employees had spent, the philanthropic donations our organization had given, and the efforts we poured into supporting kids in our communities.
Retrospective Booklet: Celebrating our Company Turning 80
Any organization lasting 80 years in business is something to celebrate.
For a financial institution which stayed remarkably strong through the Great Recession of 2008, it called for a tribute.
This booklet looked back to honor the credit union's roots helping one employee gather money for his child's healthcare. It walked through their journey from a telephone employees credit union through to the resilient financial institution they are today, open to all in their communities.
