I'm thankful to grow up at a time when virtually any information available is available instantly, to me and anyone with a computer or smart phone.

Want to learn a new skill? The only impediment is your time management and sticktoitiveness.

Want to settle a debate (about a specific fact)? The answer is there for you.

Want to hear your favorite thinker speak? They're all over the internet.

It's made it so we are all less alone. Sure, we are definitely becoming more isolated in different ways thanks to the same technology. But for those who would use it, they never have to be without someone they admire and want to learn more from.

I often consider this when I load up one of the millions (billions?) of podcasts from one of the smarter, more experienced people I choose to keep me company, like Tim Ferriss, Pete Holmes, or David McRaney.
