They make it look good

It was a throwaway line said in jest, sure, but Agent J was onto something here.
Growing up in New York City, I learned a bit about so called "swag," or whatever the preferred nomenclature of the coolest kids is these days.
Growing up with older siblings, I hung out around older people most of my young life.
Hanging out with older people, I was fortunate to learn quickly.
Having a penchant for flash, I once thought that anything worth doing was worth doing with style.
Not grandstanding, never showboating or bloviating - just a little extra pizzazz.
This approach would achieve a few benefits:
1. It showed you knew what you were doing, that you had technical prowess.
2. It showed that you were creative in your approach to your craft - not content to merely get the job done, but to show some human spirit and soul with it
3. It made you stand out. As gravity is a fundamental law of physics (yes, it is only a theory and not a law - thank you this guy), equally is it a law that attention will be magnetized to someone who not only performs an act especially well, but adds an extra layer of umph, je ne sais quoi, something yet unseen, or seen rarely.
People have made livings off of making it look good, even if there was relatively little there.
When you have the substance, and you know how to style on 'em?
Then you got yourself a future, kid! Go get it!
