It's amazing what you can do

When you're focused on creating something.
When you're focused at 8am, at 12am, and at 4pm (and especially at 7pm, and 9pm).
I used to lose some focus through the day - starting strong, but tapering out in my executive capabilities toward the afternoon.
I realized I wasn't breathing right; my posture needed a tune-up; I let other peeople's thoughts and behaviors get to me; I didn't spend enough time preparing for the next day; I didn't give myself clear enough orders so that I would rarely need to spend valuable time and energy during the day trying to figure out what to do -- I knew what to do, it was all in a clean list before me, and I only needed to keep doing, one to the next.
I used to check social media on the commute home from work in the evenings, aimless as I was listless.
I didn't realize what could happen when you focused more energy on one thing, when you invested more time in one thing.
Compound interest is an apt analogy. It extends beyond the concept of money. It's got a remarkable effect on our work.
Invest in your creative endeavor. Doesn't matter what it is. As long as it serves you in some way.
