Form is everything.

The first thing I learned when I began weightlifting back in high school was this:
Form is everything.
It doesn't matter how goofy or weak you look while doing it. It doesn't matter if you can only do two reps with good form right now, or even just a single one.
If you think it does, you're only cheating yourself. If you sacrifice form for numbers, or for aesthetics, you're on the way to physical imbalances and seriously messed up joints.
You might get some extra dopamine hits in the short run ("look how many reps I'm doing! Validate me! Validate me, for heaven's sakes!"). But in the long run, you'll only injure yourself. And in the short run, you'll look like a fool to the people who know better. To the people who do better.
The single most important priority in lifting is to mind your form. To do it right.
If you can't do lots of reps with proper form, consider that a great sign. That means you're breaking new ground in your body and your mind. That's the key to growing and getting to where you want to go.
